About this course

Team coaching and development is a long-term organisational development initiative, where we work with the organisation and team closely for a length of time. The focus is typically to develop departmental,  cross-functional, project and virtual teams to become cohesive, collaborative and high performing teams. This is done by improving their collaboration, team dynamics, teamwork, strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and by developing a common vision and goal and efficient and effective working practices, protocols and processes.

 

This is done through a combination of :

  • strategic planning and visioning
  • team reviews and reflection sessions
  • inter-personal relationship and team building activities
  • skills development (leadership, communication, problem-solving, inter personal skills, coaching and mentoring)
  • one-on-one coaching for team members

FAQs

For how long should an organisation commit to this process

In our experience, for there to be tangible results, a minimum of 3 months is needed. Often our clients work with us for six months to over an year. This allows us to become better acquainted with the issues and challenges and develop a trusting relationship with the team to achieve sustainable changes.

We are putting together a multi disciplinary project team? Can we benefit from team coaching and development?

Definitely.

We have worked with teams from their inception and guided them to

  • brainstorm and agree on the team and project vision, mission and goals,
  • develop strategic and operational planning process,
  • agree on performance measurements
  • develop and agree on team code of ethics, values, and protocols

During the project, we have acted as coaches and mentors to

  • assess the progress of the project
  • review and reflect on the team dynamics, teamwork, and team spirit
  • re-calibrate their focus and team journey

Course Curriculum

This course is a collection of short Photoshop and Illustrator projects and creative effects that can be completed in ten minutes or less. The series is taught by computer graphics guru Deke McClelland, and presented in his signature step-by-step style.
